The Tree of Life, abbreviated Tol, is the source of most life within the Roots of Tol multiverse. It is a dryad-like deity with the power to create, mutate, and empower living things.

Story[]

Tol's background is a mystery, but it is believed to be the same species as the other evergreen trees in Central Paradise, raising question as to what causes it to be so powerful.

Appearance[]

The Tree of Life's namesake tree form is identical to the canon Tree of Life.

Its shape form varies in height, but is often believed to be the largest living thing in Paradise and incredibly beautiful. It is a faceless, colorful triangle with a multitude of wings and a long robe.

Personality[]

The Tree of Life is benevolent and motherly, but also known to be a bit of a goofball. It tends to pass its odd and playful nature down to its offspring, the heroes. Despite its mischief, it cares deeply for every living thing in Paradise, from microscopic organisms to complex shapes and animals. It attempts to behave with everyone's best interest in mind, releasing heroes to protect Paradise and causing events that aim to better the world around it.

Weapons and Powers[]

The Tree of Life has many powers that are vastly a mystery beyond what it has already shown to be capable of. What is known is that it can create, mutate (or transform), and empower living things, as well as change between tree and shape form and change in size like a monster can. Anything that is not tied to the Tree of Life is considered unnatural or unholy by other shapes.

Voice[]

The Tree of Life does not speak in words or any known language. Instead, it either 'sings', communicating through various musical sounds, or communicates through abstract telepathy, causing the recipient to feel or experience things that give them an understanding of what the Tree is feeling.

Trivia[]

  • The Tree of Life is highly radioactive, but most living things in Paradise seem to benefit from this rather than being harmed by it. The same cannot be said for things that don't originate from Paradise.
  • The Tree of Life's personality is inspired by Princess Celestia.
