It's simple as can be, Purpex. I’ve become a vampire.

Frontlines' Vampirism is a strain of Blerix's Corruption that brings out very vampire-like traits in a shape. Once a corrupt has contracted this variant of corruption, it is permanent- no matter how many times their pure counterpart is infected through other means, the corrupt will always be a vampire.

Spread[]

This strain spreads solely through the venom infected corrupts carry, though vampires can infect others with usual corruption through other means. The most common way to get infected is to be bitten, however the venom can be injected through other means.

Blerix's Corrupts in general have lots of freedom to choose what to do to their victims. They only infect when they want to, they can postpone taking over their pure counterpart for convenience, et cetera. The venom of a Frontlines' Vampire can infect a shape with Blerix's Corruption like any other method of spreading the virus, or actually convert them into another Vampire. Matter of fact, Snakebite, a hybrid between Pink Corrupt and Frontlines' Vampire, could hypothetically infect a shape with the original Pink Corruption using her venom despite the venom being a product of Blerix's Corruption.

Symptoms[]

Frontlines' Vampires are at first glance hard to distinguish from normal corrupts. However, there are many unique things about these odd shapes. They experience a near-constant thirst for blood, having a preference for that of pure shapes. They're often pale in color, resulting in them having a desire to hide from the sunlight. They do not literally burst into flames in the sun but are more prone to sunburns. They also have needle-like fangs that are filled with venom. Unlike the vampires of mythology, they do not have any weakness or disliking towards garlic. Some Frontlines' Vampires have bat-like traits not found in their pure counterpart, though not all do and none are known to be able to transform into bats.

In terms of behavior, Frontlines' Vampires are some of the most romantic corrupts out there, known for being flirty and amorous. While Blerix's Corrupts in general are known to explore their sexuality and defy heteronormativity, Frontlines' Vampires are masters at it and will delve into every aspect of their attraction and love. According to them, there is no such thing as a shape who is really straight, monogamous, cisgender, and allosexual all in one. However, Frontlines' Vampires are also known to be secretive. Unless the individual vampire has a thing for infodumping, anything another shape does not need to know will likely not be made known to them. Because of this, a lot of vampires would consider themselves closeted.

Interestingly, artificial blood seems to be rather disgusting to most of them. Others simply consider it lower quality, similarly to how most consider corrupted blood lower quality.

Background[]

It was created at the time of Frontlines' initial infection, and is the result of Four's hidden personality traits bleeding into the corruption. It is thought that the reason that the strain relates to vampires is because vampirism is a metaphor for sexuality and intimacy, things Four definitely values but keeps secret for the sake of modesty.
